Eligibility Criteria

For the Six-Year Program

• Completion of secondary school/high school with a strong foundation in science.
• Competitive grades in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English.
• SAT or ACT scores may be required.

For the Four-Year MD Program

• A bachelor’s degree in science or a related field.
• Strong academic performance in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
• MCAT (Medical College Admission Test) scores are required.

Application Process

1. Online Application Submission
   • Apply through the WCM-Q admissions portal.
   • Submit personal details, academic records, and standardized test scores.
2. Required Documents
   • Academic transcripts and certificates.
   • Standardized test scores (SAT/ACT for a six-year program, MCAT for a four-year program).
   • Letters of recommendation from teachers/professors.
   • A personal statement outlining the motivation for studying medicine.
3. Interview Process
   • Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview.
   • The interview assesses academic knowledge, problem-solving skills, and motivation.
4. Final Selection & Enrollment
   • Successful applicants receive an offer letter.
   • Students must confirm their seats and complete enrollment formalities.

Curriculum Overview

Six-Year Medical Program

The program consists of pre-medical and medical studies.

Pre-Medical Curriculum (Years 1-2)

• Foundational sciences in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
• Introduction to Medical Ethics and Professionalism.

Medical Curriculum (Years 3-6)

• Years 3-4: Core medical sciences (Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Pharmacology).
• Years 5-6: Clinical training in affiliated hospitals in Qatar and the U.S..

Four-Year Medical Curriculum

• Years 1-2: Basic medical sciences (Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology).
• Years 3-4: Clinical training in hospitals, with rotations in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Psychiatry, and Family Medicine.

Prospects After Graduation

Licensing & Residency

• Graduates must pass the USMLE (United States Medical Licensing Examination) to practice in the U.S.
• Eligible for residency programs in the U.S., Canada, Qatar, and other countries.
• Many students pursue residency at top hospitals in the U.S., such as NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
