Summary

As a Content Developer for our online medical courses, you will play a crucial role in creating engaging and interactive learning materials. Your expertise will help us deliver exceptional educational experiences to our learners. You will collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and multimedia specialists to develop MCQs, pictures, H5P content, interactive pictures, interactive videos, and 3D designs for our medical courses.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for a skilled Course Coder to join our team at MyMedschool.org, a dynamic online medical education platform that operates on both WordPress and Moodle. As a Course Coder, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience for aspiring medical professionals. Your responsibilities will span across two different platforms, ensuring seamless course development and engaging learning experiences.

1. Course Development on Moodle:
   • Collaborate with course experts and educators to understand course objectives and content.
   • Create course introductions with accurately defined headings and IDs provided by course experts.
   • Incorporate course objectives into the introduction, ensuring alignment with learning outcomes.
   • Select appropriate course categories as guided by curriculum guidelines.
   • Enhance course content by adding images, selecting course formats, and optimizing appearance and language settings.
   • Facilitate file uploads of up to 1 GB, ensuring seamless access to essential learning materials.
   • Configure group settings and customize role names if necessary to align with course requirements.
   • Utilize tags to enhance course discoverability and categorization.
   • Align course content with the designated curriculum and assign appropriate difficulty levels for accurate learning progression.
2. Quiz Development on Moodle:
   • Collaborate with educators to create engaging and informative quizzes.
   • Develop quizzes that assess various aspects of the course content, aligning with learning objectives.
   • Incorporate a variety of question types (multiple-choice, true/false, short answer, etc.) to assess diverse knowledge domains.
   • Implement time limits, randomization, and other settings to ensure fair assessment practices.
   • Ensure quiz content is error-free, accurate, and aligned with course materials.
   • Test quizzes for functionality, accessibility, and ease of use by learners.
3. WordPress Integration:
   • Ensure seamless integration between WordPress and Moodle platforms for a cohesive user experience.
   • Embed Moodle courses and quizzes within WordPress pages, maintaining consistency in design and navigation.
4. Quality Assurance:
   • Conduct thorough testing of all developed courses and quizzes to identify and resolve any technical issues.
   • Collaborate with our tech team to troubleshoot and resolve any platform-related challenges.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Moodle course development, including creating course introductions, managing settings, and developing quizzes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow course development guidelines accurately.
• Experience with WordPress integration and embedding Moodle content within WordPress pages.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with course experts, educators, and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in instructional design and curriculum development.
• Knowledge of learning management systems, particularly Moodle.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and instructional best practices.
