National Immunization Schedule (NIS) India 2026
The Universal Immunization Programme (UIP) is a cornerstone of public health in India. Below is the standard schedule for infants and children under the National Health Mission.
1. Infant Vaccination Schedule

2. High-Yield Exam Notes
- Freeze Sensitive: Hepatitis B, Pentavalent, PCV, Td, and DPT must never be frozen. Use the “Shake Test” if freezing is suspected.
- Open Vial Policy: Applies to OPV, fIPV, Td, PCV, Pentavalent, and Hep B. It does not apply to BCG, MR, or JE (discard after 4 hours or end of session).
- Diluents: BCG uses Normal Saline; MR uses Sterile Water. Both must be stored at 2–8°C before reconstitution.
