Overview of Renin

• Function: Renin catalyzes the conversion of angiotensinogen (produced by the liver) into angiotensin I.
• Subsequent Reaction: Angiotensin I is then converted to angiotensin II (Ang II) by the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE), primarily in the lungs.
