Admission Procedure

Admission to the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, HKU is highly competitive. Here’s an overview of the process:

Eligibility Requirements

• Local Students (Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education – HKDSE): Minimum required grades in Biology, Chemistry, and other subjects.
• International Students: IB Diploma, GCE A-Levels, or equivalent qualifications.
• Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) applicants: Must demonstrate academic excellence, extracurricular involvement, and a strong motivation for a career in medicine.

Application Process

1. Online Application – Submit applications via the HKU admission portal.
2. Entrance Examination (if applicable) – Candidates may need to take additional tests.
