Understand the concept of Volume of Distribution and calculate it using the total amount of drug in the body and the plasma drug concentration.

Formula:

V_d = frac{text{Amount of drug in the body}}{text{Plasma drug concentration}}

Example:

  • Amount of drug in the body: 600 mg
  • Plasma drug concentration: 12 mg/L

Calculation:

V_d = frac{600 text{ mg}}{12 text{ mg/L}} = 50 text{ L}

✅ Answer: Volume of distribution = 50 L
